Early Life of Actress Betty White
Actress Betty Marion White, an only child, was born in Oak Park, Illinois, on Jan. 17, 1922, and moved to Los Angeles with her parents, traveling salesman and electrical engineer Horace White and homemaker Tess Curts White, during the Great Depression. Camping with her family in the Sierra Nevadas once a year fostered her passion for animals. In 1999, Betty White told PEOPLE, “We wound up raising 26 dogs once.”
As a kid, dreamed about turning into a forest officer or an author, just to experience passionate feelings for performing when she started to lead the pack in the secondary school senior play that she composed. Betty White, the famous American comedian and performer who had a long successful career, has died at the age of 99, according to US news reports.
“Despite the fact that Betty was going to be 100, I felt she would live till the end of time,” White’s manager and close friend, Jeff Witjas, told People magazine on Friday.
“I’ll miss her terribly, as will the universe of creatures that she cherished so much. Betty didn’t seem to be afraid of dying because she needed all of her time with her closest husband Allen Ludden. She accepted the fact that she will be with him again, “Witjas stated.
TMZ first reported that White died at her home on Friday morning, only three weeks before her 100th birthday celebration on January 17, citing law enforcement sources.
