Alyson Hannigan

Alison Hannigan is a television presenter and American actress. She was born on 24 March 1974. She is best known for her roles as Willow Rosenberg in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003).

As Lily Aldrin in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014), for which she won the People’s Choice Award in 2009 and Michelle Piehearty in the American Pie Film Series (1999-2012). “Since 2016, Hannigan has introduced the television show Penn & Teller: Fool Us. She also features Claire Clancy’s voice in the Disney Junior animated series Fancy Nancy.

 

Early life and education

Hannigan was born in Washington, D.C., to Emily (Poster) Haas, a real estate agent, and Emil Hannigan, the only child of the Teamsters Trucker. His father is of Irish descent and his mother is Jewish. At the age of four, Hannigan began appearing in commercials. She moved to Hollywood at an early age.

Living with his mother and attending North Hollywood High School, he met with his father in Santa Barbara and successfully auditioned for agents. After high school, he studied at California State University, Northridge, where he was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Society and received a degree in psychology.

Alyson Hannigan Career

Hannigan’s first major film role was My Stepmother Is Alien, a science-fiction comedy released in 1988; She had a co-star in the film, Seth Green, who later added her to Baffy’s regular cast as her on-screen boyfriend. In 1989, her first regular role in a TV series came when she was cast in the short-lived ABC sitcom Free Spirit. As a teenager, Hannigan babysitted her future children.

Buffy years

In 1997, Alyson Hannigan was cast in the television series “Bobby the Vampire Slayer” as Willow Rosenberg, Blowie Summers’ best friend.

The show became a success, and Hannigan rose to fame, appearing in a number of films since then, including American Pie (1999), Boys and Girls (2000), American Pie 2 (2001), and American Wedding (2003). She also received a guest spot on Buffy Spin-Off, Angel, which included Willow’s role in some episodes (during Angel’s fourth season and Bobby’s seventh season), but none after Buffy. Finished Production Buffy’s last episode aired on May 20, 2003. The Angel episode “Orpheus,” in which Hannigan appeared, aired on March 19, 2003.

Stage, television, and movie work.

In 2005, Hannigan became a star in a typical television series, starring Veronica Mars as Trona Echols in the hit comedy Your Mother and Lero Aldrin. In February 2006, she starred as Julia Jones in the film Doot, a parody of romantic comedies. He was also a guest star on the 2009 ABC animated sitcom The Good Family.

Hannigan joined forces with Emily Deshanel, Jaime King, Minka Kelly, and Catherine McPhee in a “Video Sluber Party” featuring the organization Stand Up 2 Cancer to promote regular breast cancer screening.

In 2012, Alyson Hannigan repeated Michelle’s role in the American Reunion. Since 2016, Hannigan has hosted the television series Payne and Taylor: Stupidity May.

Kim’s mother, Ann Possible, plays Kim Possible in the Disney Channel original film based on the Hannigan animated series.

Alyson Hannigan Personal life

Hannigan married on October 11, 2003, with her Bobby Vampire Slayer and Angeles co-star Alexis Denisoff, at the Two Bunch Palms Resort in Desert Hot Springs, California. The couple lives in Ansino, Los Angeles, with their two daughters: Satiana Marie, born in March 2009, and Kiva Jane, born in May 2012.
