Frank Ocean born October 28, 1987, Christopher Edwin Cooksey is a Songwriter, American singer, a photographer from Louisiana and record producer. He has been recognized for his ideal musical style, introspection, and elliptical songwriting, unconventional production techniques and wide vocal range. Music critics have credited many artists of different musical genres with their distinctive sound and style with credit for reviving R&B. 

Ocean began his music career as a ghostwriter before joining the Hip Hop Collective Odd Feud in 2010. In 2011, Ocean released his critically successful introduction mixtape Sentimentality, Ultra. Ocean obtained a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings in 2012.  pop-soul, Electro-funk, psychedelic music, jazz-funk, Oshin’s debut studio album Drawing on Channel Orange (2012) collected universal recognition from critics, topping American Pazz. Jop Poll and British HMV Poll of Polls. At the 2013 Grammy Awards, it was decided for Album of the Year and won Best Urban Contemporary Album. The album’s hit single “Thinkin Bout You” also received a nomination for Record of the Year at the ceremony.

Before the release of his much-awaited second album Blonde (2016), which was subject to controversy after Ocean ended contractual disputes with Diff Jam, Ocean released its first visual project exclusively on Apple Music, Which was before releasing the blonde. Contract with Def Jam. Individually released, Gora debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was highly praised by critics. With genres incorporating avant-garde, soul and psychedelic rock, critics praised the album for challenging the conventions of R&B and pop music. In 2006, Ocean moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career, working at various fast-food and service jobs to support himself. Less than three years later, he established himself as a songwriter. After a songwriting deal, Ossian wrote songs for artists including Justin Bieber, John Legend and Brandy.

Ocean later told of his work at the time, “There was a time where I was preparing for other people, and maybe to continue and appreciate that income brook and anonymity, Be comfortable. But that’s why I didn’t go away. Away from school and from family. “

Ocean joined the Los Angeles-based hip hop collective Odd Feud, whom he met in 2009. His friendship with Odd Future member Tyler, the producer, reinforced Ocean’s songwriting.

NPR’s Andrew Nose stated that Ocean’s songwriting was “smart and subtle. to separate it from the pack.”  Joanna Wenner of Rolling Stone magazine wrote that Ocean was a “gifted Avant-R&B smoothie”. 

In April 2011, Oshin stated that his relationship with Def Jam has strengthened since the release of Nostalgia, Ultra. Mixtape widely known Ocean and led to his collaborations with rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West. Ocean first appeared in Tyler, the producer’s music video for “She”, from Tyler’s first studio album Goblin (2011). His first performance was at the 2011 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with Odd Future, where he later joined the East Coast of the United States for his first tour. On May 19, 2011, Ocean Record label Def Jam announced their plans to re-release Nostalgia, Ultra as an EP. The single ‘Novakane’ was released for iTunes in May 2011, and the EP was originally released the following month but was delayed.

In June 2011, Ocean announced that he would be working on the future Kanye West and Jay-Z collaborative album, Watch the Throne. Ocean co-wrote and highlighted on two tracks: “No Church in the Wild” and “Built in America”. On July 28, 2011, a song titled “Thinkin bout you” was leaked on the Internet. It was later revealed that the song was a reference track, written by Ocean, for the debut studio album by Roshn Nation artist Bridget Kelly. Kelly renamed the song ‘Recalling about forever’.In September 2011, a music video conducted by High5Collective for the version of Ocean was issued, yet the song performed on Kelly’s debut EP Every Girl.  In August 2011, Frank Ocean made his first appearance on the cover of the publication The Father in its 75th issue.
